This tiny miracle fits in your guitar case, book bag, glove box, or even your pocket and, with only a 9V battery, provides enough juice to drive any speaker cab, from a 6" box for street busking to a full stack for performing on stage! Originally developed as an emergency back-up amp for keeping on hand at gigs, it turned out to be way more powerful than expected. 

The Amptoid can also be used as a preamp going right into the front end or loop return of any amp or PA system. It's like having pure power amp distortion with super dynamic sensitivity to your guitar‘s volume and tone knobs. 

Powers on when your instrument cable is plugged into the front input jack. Use any speaker cable with 1/4” phono plug from the side jack to go to your speaker cab. Highly recommend a 4x12” but still sounds great with any speaker. 

Nothing like the world famous Smokey, it’s closer in circuit topology to the Ruby and Noisy Cricket, yet still unlike either. 

Features include: 

-JFET input buffer stage. This preserves guitar tone while using your volume knob to get clean and dirty sounds. Also allows optimum performance with pedals in front of it. Highly recommend a TS type overdrive pedal.

-Gain of 200 and a negative feedback loop for even more distortion on tap than the other mini amps. 

-Power filtering capacitors to eliminate unwanted noise, prevent oscillation, and provide silent operation when playing loud. 

-Zobel network output stage for smooth operation with any speaker cabinet of 4 Ohms or more.
